Tradition

Andrea and I have this tradition of wrecking a perfectly good trip to the beach by hunting for sea shells to write the children's name on the beach and then forcing them to have their pictures taken. It would break our little hearts not to be able to do this every year. I must say, it is getting a much easier since the babies have grown up and I am not toting an infant around under one arm and a sand bucket in the other while I keep one eye on the kids and the other eye on suitable shells all the time racing the tide that is nipping at my shell-name creations. The kids even have started to help hunt down the shells and write their names.

We managed to have a little fun anyway!
