We've been planning a Pokemon battle with our Connecticut Cousins (the Read family) since we saw them in Utah this summer. We were both vacationing at the same time and got a mini-battle in at the weenie roast in Millcreek Canyon. That just whet our appetite for more! We decided an over-nighter was the best plan. So we decided to make a turkey dinner out of it too!
The basement was ground zero for the Pokemon battle. We love these cousins. They are a bit older than us, but still think we are pretty cool anyway.
The next day was so warm and balmy we decided to have a beach day.
We played a round of Molkky. We all thought that Cousin Mike had it cinched, but Little Chief emerged as victor!
We then took a coastal lighthouse tour and found a couple of lobster trap Christmas trees along the way. This one was in Cohasset.
And we visited our favorite lighthouse in Scituate.
We love the Reads! Mike, Patti, Madison, Emily and Jacob. Their oldest daughter is living in Utah and just got engaged on Christmas.
After a delicious lunch at Wendy's we came back for a toe-shoe demo from cousin Emily. We're hoping to see her in competition this winter!
And cousin Jacob wins my admiration for 24 hours of continuous rock-paper-scissors-shoot competition with Jaws. He is a champ!
