Last Gasp of 2020

 

The night began with Tadpole acting as DM for a Dungeon and Dragon session. This is by far the kids' favorite pass-time.

Jaws took the occasion to take a "nap" so he could go the distance.

Pops and I popped up to Waltham to get Mulan to ring in the New Year!

The older kiddos started another D&D session with their friends while the rest of played games as well.

We watched movies, snuggled and chowed. This is my favorite way to spend the New Year. I love this family of mine.

Quick Project for Abz

Abizella wasted no time with Debra and her Joann's gift card...

She started with a prototype...

And then pulled out the good stuff...

She made quick work of it. Seriously, she makes it look easy. There was actually a little matter of the sleeves sliding off her shoulders when she tried it on. She took it back to the drawing board and fiddled with her design a little and found that if she changed the back from a square line to a V-line the sleeves would stay up. So a couple of snips and pleats and she was all set!

But she did hit another little speed bump- she has never sewn a zipper before. So she pulled out a former project and did a practice zipper.

No prob.

The hem! Debra is ready for her sword and ball!

I'm so impressed that Abizella has the skill and tenacity to whip up this gorgeous gown- without a pattern in 2-3 days. She is simply amazing!

 

Christmas Day Fun

Abizella wasted no time outfitting "Debra", her new dressform, in her Belle Costume she made for Halloween.

Jaws couldn't wait to try out his new jammies.

The kids held a D&D session to try out all of their dice, dice towers, dice trays and dragons

And we perpetually ate...
