We knew we absolutely had to take the oldest 3, temple recommend holding kids to the temple before it closes for 3 years for renovations this winter. We went to do baptisms. We joined every single other Mormon family in the universe for the privilege. We actually stood in line for 4 hours. It was a little deceiving because they kept us moving us to new waiting locations which gave us false hope. Just as we finally entered the baptistery, a stake with reservations jumped in front of us.
BUT- it was all totally worth it all. Superkid was able to baptize both Abizella and Tadpole and Pops and I got to see it all.
After all of that- we needed nourishment. We took the kids to the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial building to eat lunch at the Garden Restaurant.
It was definitely the best, well-earned meal we have ever eaten there.
