Superkid dazzled us at his Middle School Chorus Concert.
He's the kid on the right side- end, in the red tie.
Superkid and his classmates favored us with 4 pieces:
Kieria -which is Latin and obviously mis-spelled
Joshua Fit The Battle of Jericho
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Dynamite
Superkid's Chorus instructor is by far the most ambitious educator I have ever encountered. All of the numbers were impressive, but Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious brought tears to my eyes and the crowd to its feet. The kids learned rapid-fire arm movements for each of the letters in the name. To see 200 6th grade kids execute this was beyond impressive- but when they broke into parts while doing the sign-language and singing was over the top! I can't believe that anyone would have the nerve to try such a thing- and then pull it off! Fantastic!
Abizella walked out of there determined to join the 6th grade chorus next year!
It was an awesome night at the theater with my little Toads!
