Easter!

Our morning started at 6:00 with this crazy kid scooping up the Easter eggs that the bunny left inside the house. That's right, the bunny didn't want muddy feet.

Little Chief was pleased to see a little puppy friend to snuggle.

Superkid has a soft spot for a stuffy. Especially a dragon friend.

Miss Abizella made a request to the Easter Bunny, only the pink Springy basket baby would do.

She set up "Springy's Sweet Shop" with the little treats the Easter Bunny left in her basket. 

She served up delicious treats to the other stuffies all day long.

It was love at first sight for Jaws and his "Brown Horse"

Little Chief is a natural at putting together puzzles! He got a stack of Jake and the Neverland Pirates Puzzles and put them all together with the help of his little puppy.

Tadpole is a puzzle whiz too. He had some pretty tricky Transformers puzzles to piece together!

The Easter Bunny left Superkid a book on Oragami Fighter Planes.

Let's just say Superkid is a fighter plane building pro.

And Jaws said, "Brown Horse I jump trampoline!" So we took the buddies out for a little jump.

Pops wanted to try something new for Easter - a Passover Leg of Lamb!

Abizella and Pops set the table with Grandma Davis' china. Abizella spent most of the morning session of conference folding little bunny napkins. 

Super adorable.

 Abizella also chose this little ducky with flowers for our Easter table. Jaws has been dying to get his hands on it for weeks, "Duck-hold it-PLEASE!". It was a happy day!

 Easter Dinner!

 This has been a very nice Easter.

I love these people!

Finger Coloring ... I Mean Egg Coloring!

This day was packed! We had Feed the Need in the morning, General conference all day and Easter Eggs that needed to be dyed! Good thing Pops took care of the house cleaning and egg boiling! We gave him a pass for the actual egg coloring, as he needed to go to Priesthood session of conference.

So I manned this scene solo. The prospect of 8 bowls of dye and 10 hands should have made me shake in my boots, but I was too tired to care.

Actually, it was a rather calm affair.

Everyone was super careful.

Even this pair of tiny hands.

"Look Mom, I make yellow egg!"

Superkid was very proud of his multicolored Spring egg.

Little Chief was a egg-dying factory.

Abizella liked to take her time and get the colors just right.

Tadpole liked a little of everything!

Feed the Need 2015

Who can believe it?The 13th annual Feed Need 5K. 

This year was a lot like the first, there was so much snow on the trail that we raced on the main road running through Wompatuck State Park.

This year Superkid, Abizella, Tadpole and I ran the 1 mile race together.

Abizella and Tadpole also competed in the children's races.

Abizella got a medal, which she proudly wears even today, for her second place showing in the 1mile race. She and Tad also got ribbons for their efforts in the children's race.

The numbers for the race were down this year. The morning started off with rain and thunder. When Pops heard the thunder crack at 6:30, he stuck his head out of the bedroom  and asked what the plan was. I told him the race was rain or shine. He ran through a steamy mist, it was actually quite pretty. Overall, we collected less food than in year's past, but it was still a good showing!

It turns out, Superkid is the only one with a sense of humor around here.

Tadpole and the others were not amused.

They exacted their revenge by taping their underwear all over my room.

Lesson learned.

I relented and made legit brownies.

But I told them not to spill on the floor.

 It really annoys me to step on chunks of Brown E.

Zeller Time!

The best thing that has happened in a long time was last Sunday!

Our friends came to town during their Spring break. We love that their grandparents live nearby so we get to see them a couple of times each year. Every time we just pick up where we left off.

These ladies have always LOVED each other!

These two haven't. But they do now. After Little Chief's initial melt down that his friend wasn't a boy, he came right around. She is cool beans! They had a fabulous time together.

 These guys are old buddies too. Turns out they both are avid Mine Craft fans.

Nothing but love there.

Thank-you for coming Zellers! We really never can get enough.

Now it's time to get back to Rochester to visit you!!!

Best in Show

Both Superkid and Abizella had two pieces of their art selected for the annual town art show!

Superkid sketched his shoe. I particularly like the angle of his shoe he chose.

I love getting a lens into how this kid views the world.

Abizella had a sculpture of a robot cat. Also, with the sculpture she included a schematic of all the cool things her robot cat can do. It is a therapy cat, who likes to comfort sick people. It also "toots" cherry scent.

Superkid also had a sculpture of a face included in the art show.

He wanted one side to be smiley and one side to be frowny.

 

Abizella also had her ultra-close-up of a Starburst candy wrapper included. I love the colors!

Tadpole came along to cheer on his brother and sister

(and also to get in on the ice cream stop post art show)!

Look at this Spring-time beauty!

The whole crowd cleans up pretty nicely, although they have a little craziness to work out before they hit church.

 

It's no use. We're just going to have to take our crazy with us.
