 Happy 80th Birthday to my Dad!

All the Davis kids and parents pulled together to be together to celebrate Dad's 80th.

Cindurs even made us Davis Kids shirts with all his favorite things plastered on the back!

The Best Gift

Siblings coming home from college are my best gift.  They came home the Sunday before break and they probably will do this every Christmas. I love Abi because she's fun to play games with and because she's an art major. Abi and I draw and paint together and she plays games with me like Dress to Impress. Sometimes we will paint and draw together and it's really entertaining for the both of us to do. Sam is funny and he's also really good at art, and he is nice…sometimes. Sam and I like to stay up late in the summer and he showed me how to make microwave popcorn.  Sam even gave me piggy back rides around the house. He spun me like a top and I was not having it. It is obvious that they are also really good company.  We also went to dinner a lot. We went to a food court and we had boba, raman, chicken, and a Korean corn dog. It tasted like it was gold. We had them over for Christmas and we did a secret santa and I got Sam so I got him a lego set  of a car and Sam and I assembled it together. Abi has an assigned seat at dinner. My brother David always tries to steal and they fight over the seat the whole dinner and we all make jokes. We also played games that we got for Christmas like Abducktion.  Abi won that game and she loves it. She was the best player in the whole world. We didn't get Rummikub for Christmas but we played that the day before they left and Abi and Sam both didn’t win. Those are all the reasons my two siblings are my best gift in the whole wide world.

Thank you Mom and Dad for hosting us!

I’ve loved the morning Coke runs with Dad and delicious meals made by Mom. But mostly just time together! We will be back soon. That is a promise, not a threat! We love you!!

USU Freshman Connections Luminary Tradition

Aggie Freshman Luminary tradition

The freshmen class walked from the Spectrum Stadium to the Quad, following a band of bagpipers carrying white luminaries. Parents and Alumni lined the path with Blue luminaries. White lights on “Old Main” at USU signifies something great is about to happen. Blue lights signifies success/victory. The procession is reversed for the graduation ceremony. The tradition marks the beginning of college for Abz. It was really great to share this experience with her and her grandparents. Grandma Sandi is an Alumni of USU, she obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from USU and has been instrumental in setting Abz up for success.
