Cecret Lake, Albion Basin

We’ve been talking about it for years- but finally made it happen! We hiked Cecret Lake with Linda! Her family owns a dreamy cabin just below to lake. In the winter the only way to access it is to take the Sugarloaf lift at Alta and ski into it. Just so you know, that is the definition of heaven for me.

It was wonderful to catch up with Linda! She is beautiful inside and out. She is one of our favorite long-time friends and is a cousin of both Brad (Bennion family) and mine (Smith family). We found that out the first time we had dinner at her house 22 years ago. Yep, a little creepy to find out you have a common cousin with your spouse. Explains a few things about our children

The Ultimate Soft Start

We dropped Abz off Tuesday night for a 3 day “Connections” class for incoming Freshman. We loaded her dorm room with a mini fridge, snacks and tuppers. We enjoyed a meal at a highly recommended local restaurant (crazy delicious) with our Connecticut cousin who is also an entering Freshman.

Then we said, “see-you Friday!”

…And then we called her everyday

Catherine's Pass

Let it be said, Catherine's Pass is my favorite hike. It has it all- gorgeous wild flowers, sweeping vistas, lakes, cool weather- the works!
