This year we are doing the Mad About Science Program with our friends. We blaze through the reading portion so we can get to the fun experiments. Today we are learning how to use a microscope and growing brine shrimp (sea monkies).

Happy Birthday Jaws!

We love celebrating with you!

 Here are 8 things we love about you:

1. You are an excellent self advocate. You always stand up for yourself. We always know what you think about any given situation.

2. You love a good wrestling match/pillow fight. You and Pops go at it every night.

3. You love a good chat. Whether it is on the front porch or on the bed, you ask everyday, "Mom (and/or Dad) can we talk on your bed?"

4. You love to play "Would You Rather" and you like to come up with the most outlandishly horrible  questions.

5. You are a super tease. It is your X-Man power to know exactly how to bug every single one of us.

6. You love all things soft and snuggly- but particularly pillow cases and pajamas. You always pick out the softest "fluffiest" ones.

7. I love listening to you read. Your favorites are Dr. Seuss, Berenstein Bears and Poppleton the Pig.

8. You are so snuggly and lovable. I love it when you jump into bed with me in the morning for a snuggle. I love how you always need a kiss and a tuck in each night.

Jaws' Baptism

Jaws' Baptism was unlike any other Tidepool Toad Baptism. 

Church policy changed to allow women to act as witnesses, so Abi and I stood as official witnesses to Jaws' baptism.

Because of the pandemic, only 10 people were allowed at his baptism.

We are 7 people and the Bishop.

BUT- we were allowed to stream his baptism so all of our grandparents and the Andrus family were able to participate by Zoom.

We came out with full hearts to an empty parking lot that was filled with the largest, fluffiest snowflakes that ever fell on a happy tongue.

It was a glorious day.

Lady Ranger

Abizella has been dreaming of a Lady Ranger's dress for years since she fell in love with the Ranger's Apprentice book series. On Saturday we tried a new fabric shop, specializing in costume materials, and she found the perfect fabric for her long-awaited project. She whipped up the whole project over MLK weekend and then beckoned Superkid for a photo shoot in the woods. I offered my photo-services but was told that Superkid has taken some photography classes. So instead I took pics of the two of them from my bedroom window.
