Santa's Cookies

The kids cranked up the tunes and got to work on Santa's treat!

They take their cookie decorating very seriously.

And Santa won't mind if I eat this little guy Superkid made...

Mmmmmm!

Talent Time

We all look forward to the annual Tidepool Toads Family Talent Show!

This year Tadpole delighted and entertained us be transforming is Transformer, Starscream, while blindfolded with a combination Santa hat/face mask. It was most impressive.

Little Chief created a Blob Opera with his own composition of Christmas music. It was fantastically orchestrated!

Jaws played, "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" on the piano. He learned how to play it just today! It was the perfect tune for our mood! ...although the picture may be deceptive. It really is just fatiguing to wait SOOOOO long for Christmas!

Equally appropriate, Abizella played, "Here Comes Santa Claus" on her Uke!

And Superkid delighted us with his lock picking skill!

I whipped out my trusty hand-stand!

And Pops demonstrated his extraordinary abilities to gain comfort (or at least tolerance) with a wiggly, over-excited 7-year old climbing all over him.

Christmas Eve Preparation

The anticipation was thick as we paced the floors waiting for Santa's sleigh!

In fact, it was too much for us to contain!

Pops busied himself with preparing a real live Christmas Pudding! He has been talking about this for YEARS. And it didn't disappoint. It was moist and rich and flavorful and delicious. I hope this becomes a new Christmas tradition!

Pops is a fabulous celebrations chef! He prepared one of our favorite meals: Honey baked ham, augratin potatoes, asparagus, rolls and the aforementioned Christmas pudding. Everything was dreamy!
