Superkid and Tadpole made it through the night on the hammocks.
Superkid had the best night sleep of his life.
Tadpole had the most miserable.
On top of freezing, he woke up with 25 mosquito bites on his face.
He was eaten alive!
After a hearty camp breakfast, Superkid and I rode our bikes to the Province Lands visitor's center.
The rest of the family joined us for a coastal bike ride.
This trail had Tidepool Toad written all over it- it was all hills!
Before we got to far we visited the old Life Saving Museum
And of course the BEACH!
We eat hills for lunch!
But we also eat the occasional energy bar to coax us along.
After our invigorating ride and a delicious lunch, we elected to spend the rest of the day at the beach.
I love this man! He is all in for fun!
The seal watching was fantastic. I can't even count how many we saw out there. When the tide when out we wandered down to the sandbar to get a closer look.
Funny thing, there were 2 seals maybe 20 feet behind us but we weren't paying attention. But Pops and LC hollered and hollered from the beach with no avail to get us to notice!
The Atlantic was icy so we sought after higher ground...
Meanwhile, Tad tried to sleep off his miserable night...
My favorite beach feature by far is a sand bar.
We were so happy the tide cooperated with us!
The kids dug 3 kingdoms...
After Superkid's sandbar stroll, he came back and narrated life in the 3 kingdoms.
Jaws acted out the 2 seals swimming right behind us (the ones we all missed to see)
