Another Cellist!

Tadpole is in 5th grade, and we all know what that means- time to pick an instrument. He happily chose the cello. He was very anxious to follow in Abizella's footsteps. She happily encouraged him and even offered to give him instruction. Abizella grew out of her cello (Edward) so Tadpole inherited it. Abizella moved up to a full-sized cello, 

which Tadpole got the honor of naming (Dobby).

 As much as I love listening to the kids play the cello, I love how much they  love each other even more!

Little Known Fact

Superkid is a Sea Chanty singer. 

He actually has an amazing breadth of chanties  that he cheerfully chorttles as he goes about his business. 

He knows all the words and sometimes he gets us to sing along too.

He is such a pleasant kid. I love spending time with him.

The Snuggler

Jaws snuggled into my lap and whispered, "I love you more than anyone else."

I mentioned that he was going to grow as big and tall as Superkid. He got really concerned and said, "I don't want to grow that big because I won't be able to snuggle in your lap!"

I told him he would always be able to snuggle in my lap! But I held him a little closer and whispered, "Don't grow."

He had a 4-day fever last week, so I got lots of quality snuggle time. I don't like it when he doesn't feel well, but I don't mind holding him until he feels better!

Popcorn, Paint Dance Party

Pops was the DJ that fueled this party...

Superkid and Abizella provided supplies and expertise...

...and popcorn scattering.

Tadpole was back-up DJ and king of one-liners...

Last Hurrah!

We just received notification that Superkid and Abizella's swim team will change its schedule to start an hour earlier. That's unfortunately not going to work for us. So we are moving to a new location. But we wanted to have one last hurrah and a chance to say goodbye to our swim team pals. 

We hear there is also some fun Friday activities at the new pool, but we will miss this bouncy house!

Superkid and Abizella led the relay race on their last day! 

They enjoy being the fastest swimmers in their group after rising through the ranks the last couple of years.

At the end of practice, Abizella gave all the girls a farewell hug. To include Superkid in the love she suggested a group hug. One of the older girls happily jumped in on that hug and walked away flushed with excitement.

Now to explore the next YMCA! And meet new friends too!

Preshool Punk

 Nobody is happier to be back in school than Jaws. It's not even close. 

He's the only one who came home from his first day rocking a a crown!

The best part is that he can now sleep in after all those late nights at the pool and he wakes up in a cheery disposition- ready to play ponies!

 And while he slumbers Pops can get a few essentials done like watering the front lawn.

 And such he is such a Preschool Pro, he now gets himself completely ready for picture day!
