Christmas day is the best.
We just pig out on a big breakfast (scones, hash-browns and bacon) and stuff ourselves with candy until we puke, right LC :)
Other than that we just spend the day in our jammies putting our toys together and playing.
Abizella started out with her design studio.
The boys had a serious stack of Star Wars Lego sets to attack...
Pops and Abizella assembled her command center- a new desk!
The only time these two got up from the table was to mow us down with nerf bullets. They worked their guts out to turn out space ships.
The boys had some pretty complicated sets to put together.
They each whipped off the 2 or 3 smaller ships on Christmas day but their larger sets took a couple of days.
This troop transport was particularly challenging. As you can see- it was classified above Tad's age range. He worked and worked on this set for days. He was very grateful to Superkid for what Tadpole termed his "encouragement" Tadpole said, "Superkid told me that if I didn't finish he was going to toss the remaining pieces in the big Lego box- it only took me a few minutes to finish after that."
Superkid also had a big challenge- Kylo Ren's shuttle. The thing nearly whipped him- but the morning after Christmas the first thing we heard were his little footsteps running into the dining room to finish this bad boy. It was the first time in years this kid was the first one out of bed.
Jaws was pleased as punch to get a Daniel Tiger trolley. The best part is that it came with a Daniel and Mommy action figure.
Lucky for me- got to play together all day long.
This kid was all about snuggling his puppy.
He also had a good time taking selfies...
Snow speeder completed...
Now the best part. The demo.
Superkid had a good time mastering his drone...
Seriously- Legos all day.
Abizella quickly set up shop
and crafted late into the night...
She made her own little LPS from plaster.
And I even shared my favorite Christmas present- but only after passing the sticky finger test!
