Cabin and Cousins

We couldn't come to Utah and not go to the cabin! It was a major party. Grandma Susan and Grandpa Jim came as well as Jenny, Ben and their kids: Kenneth, Harper, BK and Cassy. Also, Mindy and Nate and their kids: Asher, Hayden, Bryson and Lex and James and his son Nick. 

Add 7 Toads to the mix and you have a major party!

Then we had the traditional ladies stroll around the lake. SOOO much water this year!

We were pulling out of town and realized that no trip is complete without a stop by the Train.

Then we opted for the scenic route over Guardsman pass- through Park City and down Big Cottonwood canyon. I LOVE UTAH. Also, there is still so much snow!

Hello Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sandi!

We LOVE going to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sandi's house! 

We love them so much and wish we could spend more of our lives here with them. 

It's always fun to play with the puppies!

And we got to ride in Grandpa's Model A too! We've been waiting for this with great anticipation!

Sweet Pickles

It's our favorite Grandma Sherrie pass-time.We sit on her lap and listen to her read and read and read Sweet Pickles books. Tadpole grabbed a book and snuggled in next to Grandma and asked her to start reading. Poor Grandma is loosing her voice. She very sadly said that she couldn't read this year. Without skipping a beat, Tad said, "That's okay, I will read to you!" He then read a book to Grandma, then Abizella took a turn and next Little Chief took a turn. Grandma was SO happy. 

The tradition lives!

Look Out Utah!

Our Independence Day began with Pops' traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence in our living room in Massachusetts...

And ended up on the run way in Utah- watching the fireworks and lightening from the airplane window!

Boston Pops

This is our favorite 4th of July tradition- the Boston Pops rehearsal on the 3rd of July! 

I'm glad that we've been able to sneak its in before we board the plane to Utah the last couple of years!

This year was a dream! The weather was warm but not humid and strangely enough- no thunderstorms!

We always have a good time playing on the play ground after we stake our claim for seats and wait for the concert to begin.

This year the Zellers drove out from New York with their exchange student from Spain again. Chloe and her family came too! The girls made a random friend who recognized Chole's BYU T-shirt. She was right behind us and she came all the way from Utah to hear the pops.

Here's Daniel after he collapsed of over-exertion after playing- right in front of the out-houses.

My friend Sofya and her grandson joined us as well! 

And then I shamelessly paid the children Red Vines for their happy participation in my photo shoot.
