Craft Night

The Ashleys and the Dos joined us for craft night this week! 

Sister Ashley made a special trip to the basket store to purchase screws and bolts to fasten Little Chief's handle to his basket.

Abz and Sister Do continued to work on her purse. This is SOME purse.

Sister Ashley and I helped LC make a little puch to keep his treasures in his basket.

This is one SUPER happy kid. 

The only thing he likes more than making baskets is Sister Ashley.

Freakin' Pudding

We were driving and in the back of the car Jaws was singing to himself the song, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". Then he came to the chorus, "Now bring us some freakin' pudding, now bring us some freakin' pudding, Now bring us some freakin' pudding and bring it right here!" 

I stopped him- "Jaws, it's FIGGY PUDDING". He kept singing, "Now bring us some freakin' pudding..." I stopped him again, "No Jaws, it's FIGGY PUDDING". He resolutely responded, "Mom, that isn't even a thing." And then he started singing again. 

I've got to hand it to him. In the context of the song "freaking pudding" makes a lot more sense.

Primary Program- I Am A Child of God

 This week was the Primary Sacrament Meeting Program. The big kids, Superkid and Abizella, got to watch this one from the pews. But they were looking so good they made the cut for the picture too.

 Little Chief gave a talk on baptism. He also sang a solo, "Children Singing All Around the World" and sang in a trio, "I Want to be a Missionary".

 Jaws sang a solo, "I Am a Child of God" (second verse) and had a speaking part, "He gave me a physical body"

 Tadpole gave the scripture D&C 76:22. He also had a solo, "Child's Prayer" (second verse) and sang in a trio, "I Hope They Call Me On a Mission".

I am so proud of these boys! 

They worked hard to memorize their parts and did their very best!

I love these kids.

Cello Choir

Abi joined a Cello Choir this fall. She has really enjoyed playing with these other musicians- and they sound REALLY good together. They put on two concerts, a casual one at the cello teacher's home where they played many song.

They also played in the South Shore Music Recital where they played two songs together, "Ave Verem" and "Bile Them Cabbage Down".

It was at the Lutheran Church in town, which was educational in itself, and made it feel like another 2 hours of church.

But is was worth it. 

They brought down the house!
