Laboring the Day Away

Oh- this deck looks SO ugly. 

It was so bad, I decided to take an extra day off to kick off Labor Day Weekend a day early.

Pops rented a sander and clobbered it.

By the time we got the first few strokes of paint on, we knew we made the right choice!

I thought the project would take the entire weekend. In fact, it took one day because we are that amazing!

It was a good thing too, because Saturday was wicked hot and humid. 

We were good for nothing except Slurpee slurping.

Brain FREEZE.

Since all the heavy lifting was done, we enjoyed a big Labor Day feast of steak tips to prepare us for the rigors of the school year.

And of course, Abizella's homemade Oreos!

20 Years!!!

Just like the blink of an eye, it's been 20 years!

We celebrated with a fabulous dinner at our favorite Hingham restaurant, the Square Cafe, reminiscing about the ensuing 20 years.

I love this guy! I'm so grateful for every single day that he's been mine. 

I would do it all over again. 

I also took the occasion to pull out my engagement dress.

Every year on our anniversary we pull out our wedding album and look at this cute little couple on their wedding day. This year I took pictures of the pictures so I could post them (without destroying our decaying photo album).

I love you forever Pops!

Prepping for our Martha's Vineyard ride! We picked up a few more for the long haul... 

All routes pass by Dunkin Donuts...

Out to the Scituate Light...

To the Hull windmill...

And back to Wompatuck.

The best recovery drink? Hornstra chocolate milk.
