Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving preparations are almost more fun than the feast, except for the part when ALL THOSE ONIONS drive you from the kitchen in tears.

But Grandma's stuffing requires lots of onions!

Abizella wants to get all of the Thanksgiving know-how she can and she has come to the master.

We had some early holiday visitors from New York- the Zellers! They couldn't stay for dinner, but they could stay for games!

This year we took a deviation from the veggie turkey and tried a fruit turkey instead.

Also, Abizella made these cute mini turkeys for the guests- it was pretty much the only way we could guarantee that EVERYONE would eat turkey.

The table was gorgeous.

The dream team just has a few finishing touches...

The young ones were already toasting the occasion.

The moment we've all been waiting for! This year we dined with the Pickett family and the missionaries.

  The feast was simply perfect.

The desserts were amazing.

As soon as Kelly Pickett won the apple pie making contest at the church Halloween party, we locked her in for Thanksgiving.

  Everyone can agree on dessert.

And the missionaries went home with enough food for days.

Another Thanksgiving dinner that can't be beat!

It's Fun To Go To The YMCA

It's a good place to pick up some basketball skills.

 We get to build snowmen without getting cold.

 It's the best place to pretend that you are a mermaid horse too!

Primary Program

 It is the moment we've all been waiting for-

Primary Program Sunday!

This year we lost 2 of our towns in our ward to another stake. That cut our already tiny Primary by a third. That means that every kid who wanted to sing a solo got their big chance! This included every-single Bennion kid, except Superkid. Superkid is safely in the Young Men's oganization. Abizella, however, spent 8 months in the Primary so she got sucked back into the program when our numbers got cut.

Each of the kids delivered a talk and a song. Abizella sang, "Armies of Helamen" Tadpole sang, "Our Prophet Has Some Words For You", Little Chief sang, "Nephi's Courage" and Jaws sang, "Jesus Once Was A Little Child".

 Just a car-ride away to show time!

Road Race!

I love this road race. I love this community. I love these boys.

Mr. Cormier came back to lead us in our stretches.

He is a rock star.

Sunday- Funday!

It's my favorite day.

These little hooligans snagged my phone for a selfie-face-off while we waited for Sister Simmons this morning. I knew it was going to be a fun day at church, particularly since Pops was speaking. Turns out he pulled a fast one and sat up on the stand for the entire hour and ten minutes of Sacrament meeting, leaving me alone to contend with these yahoos.

 We had a fantastic FHE! Little Chief taught a dissertaion on the similarilities of the Liahona and the Holy Ghost. Next Jaws led us in a rousing game of, 

"Ghosts Under the Rug".

Then Pops redeemed him self with a mega batch of his amazing oatmeal raisin cookies!

Sundays are my favorite day!

Especially when they end in a dance party!
